Happy 2018 and thank you from Cuts for Him

Hello guys. This is a quick post to share a video I made in December to thank you all for being such a blessing through my journey in 2017. It has truly been an honor to blog and create content for you all and I certainly hope you have enjoyed it.

Anyway, watch the video below.

I have a big favor to ask. If you can, please tell me what you would like to see more Continue reading Happy 2018 and thank you from Cuts for Him

Best of 2017 in picture | Cuts for Him

And just like that, 2017 is gone. I can still remember vividly every key moment of my work on Cuts for Him like it just happened. From my trips to the middle east to having a key meeting with one of my favorite grooming brand, Elemis. The sketches I make before a shoot, to waiting for the golden hour to shoot the perfect pictures. Oh, the memories. 2017 was a great year for Cuts for Him. I may need a couple of months to properly label 2017 but I know for sure that it was a key year in the life of Cuts for Him. A year of creative expansion and opened opportunities. Opportunities to work with bigger brands and better creatives.

To help me articulate, here are photos of key work and places I went to in 2017:

The above shot was taken for a piece I did on identity. The piece itself is called Cultured in Culture and can be found here if you fancy reading it. One of my most personal pieces.

Like the first photo, this one just above is a personal one. In fact, it started the Cultured in Culture series. This series looks at being born in one culture but growing up in another. The crossroads these cultures brought into my life. Have a read here.

The above shot was in fact shot in 2016 but only released in 2017. It was a shoot I did exploring 1920 and Continue reading Best of 2017 in picture | Cuts for Him

There is nothing more satisfying when gifting something to someone knowing you chose the right gift. I would also like to add that I have worked with and personally used all the items, services, and brands on this list. This list is my personal recommendation.

In no particular order here they are:

  1. Tom Ford – #privateblend @tomford

Whats there to say about the Tom Ford Private Blend collection that has not already been said. The collection has a wide range of scents meaning there is something for everyone. Honestly, I Continue reading Last minute Christmas Wishlist by Cuts for Him

The lifestyle companion by Eddie Handmade | Cuts for Him

So over the summer, I was able to secure what I used to call a notepad. In fact, I am absolutely sure everyone else including the brand manufacturers (Eddie Handmade) calls it a notepad. And you must be saying to yourself why would I call it anything else, right?

First of all, it is important to recognize the impact this rather “minor” accessory has made in my creative life. As a content creator, I always document in the form writing or other means the process of capturing images both still and videos before implementation. Imagine sitting up at night writing down steps and processes for a shoot the next day so you can go out there and just execute flawlessly. It’s a beautiful feeling when I am able to execute dues to planning especially when managing clients expectations combined with other creatives such as photographers, stylists, makeup artists etc.

However, I have always struggled with documenting this process itself.  Writing on pieces of paper Continue reading The lifestyle companion by Eddie Handmade | Cuts for Him
