The Stylish & practical BMW Motorsports Ice watch | Cuts for Him

Hello everyone. Let me first of all apologise for going mia for about a week or so. I have been incredibly busy working behind the scenes to bring you great content. As a creative, I like to be involved in every aspect of producing everything you see on here and producing content for other brands. One day I will show you guys just how much work goes on behind the scenes. But first, allow me the pleasure of telling you about my most practical find in recent years when it comes to gadget and accessories, Ice watch.

Ice watch as you may already know is a huge brand that prides itself in creating colourful time pieces. They make beautiful watches for the entire family which is rare to see in the watch industry.

As you may know, I love watches. A watch is an accessory every man needs to have for practicality and style purposes. Unfortunately, not every watch or indeed watchmaker Continue reading The Stylish & practical BMW Motorsports Ice watch | Cuts for Him

Shirt of the season | Labrum + Cuts for Him

So you know how sometimes I do super short blog articles? Well this post is going to be one of them.

I just want to share with you shots of how I styled my favourite shirt right now. Some time last year, I had the pleasure of working with Labrum London on his AW16 collection. Since then, I have been meaning to show off this shirt but wanted to wait until summer this year.

In all honesty, I have only worn this shirt like 4 times since I got it and kid you not that I always get some one walk up to me to say how much they like it. It also got great feedback Continue reading Shirt of the season | Labrum + Cuts for Him

Cultured in Culture | Government wharf, Freetown

Cultured in Culture, or The Crowd – My people, or Standing out “with” the crowd or so many other titles I could have given this post looking at the photos my sister took of me on holiday in Freetown.

The idea to do this shoot was borne out of a strong desire to capture Freetown or even the people in a way that is very unassuming and unrehearsed. I had no desire to take photos at the plush side of town whether along the peninsular where you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world or indeed on the beautiful hills to the west of town. Government Wharf itself has a long and interesting history but I won’t go into it now. Partly because I do not know much of the history but yeah lets just leave that along shall we lol. So I will leave that to the history buffs out there to dissect.

Big market, Freetown

Now where was I? oh yeah the reason for shooting at the Wharf. I personally think the Wharf represent the true hustle and bustle of Freetown in a way very few places do. It shows a people with unique individual stories that come together for a common purpose. The purpose of buying or to selling, rendering a service or solicit one, to see or to be seen. To chisel Continue reading Cultured in Culture | Government wharf, Freetown

Ice Cream for BoohooMAN | Cuts for Him

I am super excited to be working with BoohooMAN. You must be thinking why would Cuts for Him be excited about a company that makes casual wear. Ha, well that’s where the story gets interesting.

BoohooMan has launched their first full tailoring range and I had the pleasure of working with them to showcase just how versatile their current collection is. I was literally spoilt for choice choosing a suit to style from their tailoring range.

In the end, I went for a slim-fit double-breasted suit which really stood out to me. Of course, I was looking forward to my new suit but then discovered upon delivery that the warehouse sent me a mismatching trouser with the jacket. Was the mistake done by the warehouse or did I make it?

Instinctively, I placed the jacket and trouser into the return parcel to send it back. But then I thought, what good am I as a stylist if I can’t think on my feet and style a look I have not planned for. For every challenge, there is an opportunity I said to myself.

So instead of sending them back, I styled both separately. The fact that I was able to style them separately shows just how versatile BoohooMan’s tailoring range is.

I will show you how I styled the trouser in another blog post.

I paired the jacket with a plain navy dress trouser. Matching my favorite white sneakers was a white crew neck t-shirt.

My pocket square of choice for the day was a tasty cone ice cream with toppings.

The inspiration behind this look was the sunny weather in London.

Let me know your thoughts on this look.
